Named after the iconic Cloud 9 rock formation with a natural hole through it, this beach break is world-renowned for its barrel waves. The heart of Siargao's surf culture, with surf shops, hostels, and beach bars lining the shore.

⚠️ SafetyShallow sharp coral reef bottom (3–6 ft / 1–2 m depth) — wipeouts risk serious lacerations requiring stitches. Rip currents present, especially on outgoing tides. Strong offshore current can sweep weak paddlers into impact zone. Very shallow at low tide with exposed razor-sharp coral. No lifeguards on duty. Heavy wave lip causes brutal closeouts and hold-downs (15–20 sec underwater). Jellyfish/blue bottles common Dec–Feb. Reef booties and rash guard strongly recommended. Intermediate-advanced skill required for Cloud 9 wave.
