⚠️ SafetySwimming is best at high tide; conditions are poor at low tide. Strong currents and rough seas possible during typhoons (category 5 Super Typhoon Yolanda hit in Nov 2013). No dedicated lifeguards reported on most beaches. Environmental fee of ₱75–120/person required. Water shoes recommended for some rocky shoreline areas (Langob/Gugma beaches). Island has limited medical facilities; dive centers carry first aid.
