Moalboal Beach

Famous for the legendary Moalboal Sardine Run—a massive shoal of millions of sardines that create a swirling silver cloud just 30 meters offshore at Panagsama Beach. The reef wall drops from shallow coral-strewn shallows into the abyss, and swimmers/divers can find themselves inside the pulsating school. Also a gateway to Oslob's whale shark watching. A truly unforgettable marine experience.

⚠️ SafetyNo dangerous rip currents at Panagsama Beach. Box jellyfish risk present especially from April through rainy season (Apr–Nov); authorities have temporarily suspended beach activities during jellyfish blooms. Swimmers advised to wear rashguards. Rocky/coral entry at Panagsama — water shoes recommended. No lifeguards on duty. Tides significantly affect beach access: low tide = sunbathing on narrow sand strip, high tide = excellent snorkeling but beach flooded. White Beach (Basdaku) has calm, gradual shallow water with sandy bottom — safer for families.
