A 2,000-year-old masterpiece carved into the mountains of the Cordillera Region by the Ifugao people. These man-made terraces contour the mountains at elevations up to 1,500m, representing one of humanity's most remarkable engineering achievements. UNESCO recognizes five clusters: Batad and Bangaan in Banaue, Nagacadan in Kiangan, Hapao in Hungduan, and Mayoyao. One of the only Philippine monuments showing no colonial influence.
